Master Sistemas Automotivos Ltda., a non-listed company, is based in Caxias do Sul, RS, Brazil, and is the largest manufacturer of S-Cam and SAC (Simplex Air Cam) air brakes in Brazil. Master was established on April 24, 1986, as a joint-venture between two leading companies in the field of road equipment and automotive – Randon S/A.- Implementos e Participações, from Caxias do Sul, RS, Brazil, and ArvinMeritor, from Troy, Michigan, United States. Its stock equity is divided into 51% to Randon and 49 to ArvinMeritor.
With a product line made up of automotive brakes for commercial vehicles ( trucks, buses, microbuses and road equipment), Master leads the Brazilian market. It also exports components and brake sets and actuates in the Aftermarket. With a workforce of 500 employees, the company produces 600 thousand brake sets and 2,400,000 sets of brake shoes a year. Its net turnover has increased by 38% when compared to 2003.
The focus on the principle “Satisfied Customer” is one of the main concerns of Master, which provides complete technical and commercial support to its customers through more than 30 field people. This way, the company gains agility to meet its customers needs, in addition to strengthening its commercial relationship.
