Quality Brake Shoes

Master is the only company in South Anerica to use the Projection Welding Process on its brake shoes, which is the most advanced technology available in this area. This type of welding minimizes surface flaws that are common in conventional welding processes. Brake shoes are also adjusted for a better pre-burnishing of the brake lining, increasing their resistance and causing brake linings to wear evenly. Machined pin and roller slots allow perfect adjustment between the brake shoe and the other parts.

• The slots are produced with special material, allowing thermal treatment in friction areas;

• In addition to improving efficiency and quality of the shoe, the Projection Welding Process facilitates the identification of the original part;

• Brake shoe adjustment removes flaws caused by pressure and temperature during the welding operation, ensuring better burnishing of the brake linings and their conservation, relieving plate tensions; 

• Machined pin and roller slots provide better dimensioning of the shoe radius. The brake linings are better set up to the drum, making wear more uniform. It also reduces the possibility of noise and vibrations during braking action; 

• The pins and rollers contact area is treated thermally, increasing the durability of the set; 

• All parts bear the P/N, date / manufacturing lot and Master´s identification.
