To Master, technology is one of the most important aspects. Check below a little on our work:
ASA - Automatic Slack Adjuster
The complexity of the design, the strong similarity of several component types and the combination variability of automatic slack adjuster sets require from Master Sistemas Automotivos a very accurate and mistake-proofing assembly process. In view of this, Master developed, back in 2000 and 2001, a cutting-edge assembly line, with high-performance electro-electronical resources, totally based on the Japanese poka-yoke production model (mistake proofing).
All work posts are equipped with electronic sensors and devices, monitored by a Programmable Logic Controller which prevents defective or out-of-specification parts from passing to the next phase. When the assembly line is programmed to produce a certain slack adjuster type, all work posts automatically adjust for the production of such specific P/N. If a component not belonging to that P/N is mistakenly included, the work post will be electronically blocked and the PLC will indicate the failure.
100% of the parts undergo a worm and gear rotation test (last operation). An electronic system reads the worm and gear rotation torque during one complete turn of the gear and rejects the set when the maximum value goes beyond its pre-determined limits. This eliminates any possibility of failure when installed in the vehicle. Once the test is successfully concluded, the code and the traceability data are engraved on the slack adjuster, certifying that the set has undergone the complete line and has been duly completed, analyzed and approved.
Thanks to this technological resource, the automatic slack adjusters produced by Master are highly reliable, delivering outstanding performance throughout their useful life, even in limiting conditions.
